Introduction Projects Studies

Department of Hydrogeology has the equipment to perform field hydrogeological investigations, equipped laboratory for chemical analysis of water, vehicles, computer center, license software for modeling, test pumping and GIS etc.. He is currently at the Department hired 18 full-time employees (14 in the learning process) and 19 teaching assistants and research work.

In addition to basic education, scientific research and professional activities of the Department of Hydrogeology highly developed and conducted the survey of all types of underground water works:

  1. Public water supply, industry, agriculture,
  2. Production of bottled drinking water
  3. Hydrogeological reclamation,
  4. Water supply and drainage of the mine
  5. Drainage of buildings
  6. Supply of mineral water
  7. Supply of geothermal waters for energy and balneological use and other purposes (2006-2010)
  8. Optimization of energetic utilization of subgeothermal water resources (2008-2010 - Project Manager: Professor Dr. Zoran Stevanovic, the Project implemented by: the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Mining & Geology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Innovation Centre of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Belgrade)
  9. Potential and bases for sustainable utilization of grounwater (2011-  on going, Project Manager: Professor Dr. Zoran Stevanovic)
  10. Groundwater protection,
  11. Remediation of contamination and remediation of groundwater, etc..

In relation to these areas, except for the immediate process of education, teachers and staff of the Department of Hydrogeology perform the following work:

  • Reports on the results of hydrogeological investigations;
  • Evaluation of hydrogeological works;
  • Supervision and guidance of hydro operations and research;
  • Hydrogeological monitoring projects;
  • Consultancy services relating to exploration, exploitation and protection of all types of groundwater;
  • Expert opinions and expertise on groundwater and geothermal energy;
  • Performing a hydrogeological study on the "key";
  • Hydrogeological studies and reports for the opening of the ground water source;
  • Design of the facilities for the exploitation of groundwater;
  • Techno-economic analysis of underground water;
  • Investigation of groundwater quality;

  • Digitizing the geological and hydrogeological documentation;
  • Forensic evidence;
  • Publication of monographs, textbooks, conference proceedings, etc..;
  • Additional training of professionals in the field of hydrogeology and geothermal energy
  • From the review made studies, projects, studies of individual authors or groups of authors, defended master's theses and doctoral dissertations on DHG can be observed diversity of hydrogeological problems, as well as its multidisciplinary and timeliness.
  • Thematically, there are virtually all domains and aspects of hydrogeology related to groundwater in general, from research malomineralnih water (water supply and other needs) and through mineral, mineral waters and geothermal energy to their rational utilization and protection, and the protection the environment in general. No less significance was given to the issue of protection of groundwater in mining, agriculture, construction and the like.
