Course Description

Study program: Environmental Engineering (I semester -OAS), Mining Engineering (I semester -OAS), Petroleum Engineering (I semester -OAS)

Name of subject: Technical Physics

Instructors: Dr Vesna Damnjanović, Dragutin Jovković

Status: Compulsory


Prerequisites: Prerequisites – nil

Course Objectives: Gaining knowledge about the laws of conventional physics, physical quantities, units of measure, and instrumentation.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering physics methods to address engineering problems.


Theory teaching
Lectures on: the laws of physics in conventional mechanics; fundamental physics of molecules and thermodynamics; electromagnetism; oscillations and waves; and physics of the atomic nucleus.

Practical teaching
Experimental assignments in: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, calorics, electromagnetism, and optics.
